June 20

Good Morning from Dave's house in NJ. Today was a busy day. It started off with Thalia taking Barry for breakfast. Unfortunately she brought him back

We spent the afternoon visiting some of the historic sites of Philadelphia. We were able to sneak into an unofficial tour of Independence Hall which has been closed for renovations.

We were hosted in Philly by Karen and Anand (classmates from school). Here we are hiding the crack in the Liberty Bell. However, it wasn't the only crack we saw in the city.

This is a marker where Abe Lincoln stood in 1861. Terry obviously wanted to be part of this historic picture. We were hoping he was going to be arrested by the Park authority.

Dave disappeared for several stretches of time during the ballgame. Thank goodness we had the Philly Phanatic to keep us entertained each time he stepped away. Come to think about it, we've never seen them in the same place at the same time. Hmmmm...

Had a great time at the game. Phils lost 4-1 to the Braves. Barry was excited to meet people from Franklin, unfortunately for him we had to tell him an hour later after the game it was Franklin, North Carolina, not Tennessee.

Food Ratings for the Vet:
Hot Dogs...........................3
Cheese Steaks..................9
Soft Serve Ice Cream.......9
Editorial Note: we really didn't eat that much at the Vet, but it scores big points for an excellent food court. Lots of food and beverage choices... too bad the team is so bad!

After a long day we felt completely safe travelling home being protected by Philadelphia's finest (he never woke up).
